Trial/practice run.....should you or shouldn't you

I get asked quit a bit if most brides get trial runs on hair and makeup to practice for the day of wedding.  My answer is what ever makes you most comfortable. I would ask you to first take a look at my photo gallery so you can see some varieties of my work. Hopefully that can put you at ease of my abilities. If you are uncertain of what you will like than I totally recommend a trial. It makes it easier for both of us on the day of.  This way you can try out a few ideas too. Its fun to play. If you have pictures of things you like that makes thing easier too.

I have been doing hair and makeup for brides for about 13 years now so I have lots of experience working on all imaginable hair and skin types. Im comfortable if you are without a trial. It is nice for you to see what you can expect for your wedding day but, lets face it weddings are expensive. All the little things add up. If a trial is not on list of priorities trust me you are not the first. Totally understandable and actually common.

I am very confident in my ability to make you happy on your wedding without a trial.  I always say listen to your gut. You know what is best for you.

Trial run $150 for hair and makeup in studio

            $200 for hair and makeup on location

I just wanted to take a minute to write and thank you so much for the time and patience you took while doing my hair and make-up for my big, special day!  You made me feel so comfortable and relaxed with you and were so easy to talk to.  That really meant a lot and I appreciated it more than you know!  I could not tell you how many times I have had up-dos done...but usually I end up taking them down and re-doing them myself.  I never feel comfortable saying when I don't like something and you were so good about having me look at it throughout the process and making me feel comfortable saying if I wanted something changed.  Everyone back home (family and co-workers and friends) have all commented on my hair and absolutely loved it!!!  My sister said it was her favorite wedding hair do she has EVER seen!!! :)  So thank you soooo much!!!  I loved my make-up.  It was done perfect and looked great while still looking natural.  I just can't even begin to tell you how happy I was with both my hair and make-up!!  I loved everything and I can't thank you enough!!!

 

Marcela asked if you could use some pictures....feel free!!!  You can use any you want!!  I have some that Aaron's mom took while I was getting ready that I can send you if you want those too!

previous brides pics

Just recovered some pics from previous brides I had not displayed until know. I love them! Top pic shows soft detailed waves. She also has shorter hair. Second pic shows natural makeup and individual eyelashes up close. check it out if you wondering what they look like. So natural but adds great drama!

 This pic below is why I love airbrush. So natural. I can go as heavy or light as needed. 
 

Trial run on future brideYael

This is a side view. Yael wanted something to really stand out and add some fun to her dress. First we had it off to the side and down but decided slightly up would glam things up a bit. It is going to look even better with the fresh flowers she picked out. She you in March Yael!!!

 I had fun with this style. Many other options for different looks for other brides.

cruise ship brides

I thought i should write a little note about the fact that I do several cruise ship brides. I realize a lot of salons and other stylist may not work on Sundays, Mondays or early mornings. I have no problem with getting up early and on any day to accomidate a bride. I am available 7days a week at anytime frame you may need me. I also do sunrise weddings. If when possible I can help you out with transportation to or from my studio. its just minutes away from where the ships dock!

If you are a cruise ship bride and need help planning your wedding or have any questions about the island. Let me know I work with a great group of vendors in town. I can help find someone who can guide you in your weding planning process. I also know great photographers and officiants.

It's been way to long.

Hello everyone. Ive been away for to long. Well, Im back!  I am also on face book. i would love for you to follow me and become a fan.  I will be giving updates on trials and weddings. As well as tips and fun things to know about hair and makeup.

I am also going to be a bit better about uploading pictures for you as well. I had tons on my phone and was literally hours away from uploading them and then i lost my phone. I was so upset .  So, this year Im going to upload right away! 

Key West Hair and Makeup will also be getting a new website. This blog will still exist as well.
